Richard Caissie - Singer/Songwriter
The
rich warm vocals and full rhythmic style of Canadian singer/songwriter
Richard Caissie have impressed audiences and inspired comparisons to
such legendary performers as James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, and Valdy. Few
singer/songwriters are able to engage with such diverse audiences, and
present authentic and timeless content in their songwriting. Richard
Caissie’s acoustic music touches on many styles and genres including
folk, pop, blues, calypso, jazz and country music, which he expresses
with musical precision, lyrical ease and good humour.
Richard Caissie makes his home on Vancouver Island, British Columbia and has been a repeat performer at the Vancouver Island Music Festival. The narrative lyrics of Caissie’s songs have been inspired by life on both the east and west coast of Canada, and he performs an eclectic repertoire of both original and familiar covers that touch on everything from human hardship to tender love songs.
